Sabrine is a Cart Captain who started working at Cookie Cart in September 2019. There were many reasons Sabrine wanted to work at Cookie Cart, but she says the main reason is because she “felt at home there. There were other teenagers like me there and I could gain job experience. I wanted to be at a place where I could start from zero and just level up.”
Over the last year and a half, Sabrine has leveled up. She says, “I am a positive person and always ready for a challenge. Whenever you need any type of help, you can come to me because I will be ready to help you.” Sabrine likes a challenge because, “they may lead to success, they may lead to failure. But I will always know that I was there and did what I had to and I was ready to face any type of challenge no matter if it’s big or small.”
Sabrine has some wise advice for her peers: “You should not be afraid to let people know who you are. You should always be ready to accept people’s judgement and what they say. If you think their judgements are not valuable, do not take it the wrong way, because people will always judge you and tell you what to do or not to do. It’s up to you to decide and say ‘I’m going to do this, I’m strong enough to do this, I’m confident enough to do this, and I’m positive enough to show the world who I am.’“
After Sabrine graduates high school, she wants to attend college to study business before becoming a realtor. No matter where life takes Sabrine she says, “I will always remember Cookie Cart because it is the first place where I got my life started. My future kids might come work there!”
