This website is operated by Cookie Cart, a nonprofit organization. Throughout the site, the terms “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Cookie Cart. Cookie Cart offers this Site, including all information, tools and services available from this site to you, the user, conditioned upon your acceptance of all terms, conditions, policies and notices stated here (collectively, the “Site”). Please read this privacy policy (“Privacy Policy”) carefully prior to using the Site. 

SECTION 1- INFORMATION WE COLLECT

All Site Users: When you purchase something from our store, make a donation, or otherwise use our website we collect the personal information you give us such as your name, address, email address and purchase history. We also use our third-party payment provider to collect details regarding your payment. 

Employees: If you are an employee of Cookie Cart, we may ask you for additional information such as your name, age, phone number, address, resume, employment eligibility, employment history, education, and skills (collectively “Employee Information”). We will not use Employee Information for any purpose other than the purpose for which you provided it. 

SECTION 2- NON-PERSONAL INFORMATION

When you browse our store, we also automatically receive your computer’s internet protocol (IP) address in order to provide us with information that helps us learn about your browser and operating system. For more on automatic collection technologies, please see Section 8, below. 

SECTION 3- HOW WE USE INFORMATION 

Generally, we use information you provide to us through this Site:

  • to provide the information, products and services you request;
  • for security, credit or fraud prevention purposes;

  • to request donations from you; 
  • to provide you with a personalized experience when you use our Site;

SECTION 4 – DISCLOSURE

We may disclose your personal information if we are required by law to do so or if you violate our Terms of Service. We may also disclose your information to our third parties to carry out a transaction or market to you. 

SECTION 5- PAYMENT

If you choose to use a credit card to complete your purchase, then our third-party payment provider will collect your payment information and process it. Cookie Cart does not store your credit card information. Your purchase transaction data is stored only as long as is necessary to complete your purchase transaction. After that is complete, your purchase transaction information is deleted.

SECTION 6 – THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

In general, the third-party providers used by us will only collect, use and disclose your information to the extent necessary to allow them to perform the services they provide to us.  

However, certain third-party service providers, such as payment gateways and other payment transaction processors, have their own privacy policies in respect to the information we are required to provide to them for your purchase-related transactions.

For these providers, we recommend that you read their privacy policies so you can understand the manner in which your personal information will be handled by these providers.  

In particular, remember that certain providers may be located in or have facilities that are located a different jurisdiction than either you or us. So if you elect to proceed with a transaction that involves the services of a third-party service provider, then your information may become subject to the laws of the jurisdiction(s) in which that service provider or its facilities are located.

Once you leave our store’s Site or are redirected to a third-party website or application, you are no longer governed by this Privacy Policy or our Site’s Terms of Service.

When you click on links on our store, they may direct you away from our Site. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of other sites and encourage you to read their privacy statements.

Google Analytics 

Our store uses Google Analytics to help us learn about who visits our Site and what pages are being looked at.

Information Collected by Web Beacons and Pixels. We may use other, similar technologies from time to time, like web beacons, pixels (or “clear gifs”) and other tracking technologies. Pixels are tiny graphics files that contain a unique identifier that enable us to recognize when someone has visited our Site. We reserve the right to modify this privacy policy at any time, so please review it frequently. Changes and clarifications will take effect immediately upon their posting on the Site. 

If our store is acquired or merged with another company, your information may be transferred to the new owners so that we may continue to sell products to you.

SECTION 11- DO NOT TRACK 

Because of the changing state of technology and indecision within the industry regarding the meaning of Do Not Track requests, we currently do not make any guarantee that we will honor Do Not Track requests.
